I am an educator and storyteller who uses crochet to honor imagination, and the courage to care. While designing an educational program at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, I discovered the power of fiber art to teach empathy and bring history to life. Inspired by figures like Harriet Tubman, Amelia Earhart, and Eleanor Roosevelt—as well as contemporary changemakers—I create pieces that celebrate those who dream boldly and transform their communities.

Crocheting allows me to translate these stories into tactile objects that invite conversation, curiosity, and connection. Each stitch is a quiet tribute to human resilience and the belief that ordinary actions can spark extraordinary change

This year, I have been invited to join the team running the Boston Marathon to raise funds for the Children’s Room, and I am dedicating all earnings from my work to this cause.

The Saxonville Mills: Three Centuries of Industry in Framingham

Book

By: Kevin A. Swope

A compelling history of the mills from the 17th century through the 20th century, with a colorful and fascinating section devoted to the current tenants of the nine buildings that make up the Saxonville Mill Industrial Park of 2012. The history of the mills has been carefully researched and wonderfully written by former Framingham History Center Board Member Kevin Swope, and is packed with hundreds of historical photographs. Award winning photographer Lynne Damianos has explored the mill complex from deep underground to high above the streets of Saxonville to capture unique images of these historic buildings.
