Borysova’s practice is rooted in close observance: of material, of nature, and of emotional states that are often difficult to express directly. Her works move between restraint and intensity, using tactile surfaces, darkness, reflected light and organic forms to create objects that invite slow looking. Each piede begins with a material encounter and develops into a visual metaphor rather than an illustration of a fixed idea.
