My art navigates the complete spectrum of the human experience, moving fluidly between childlike joy to the deep, dark corners of inhumanity and disease. Life cannot exist without decay, and light is only defined by the shadows it casts. I translate this fundamental truth into and onto my pottery. The vibrant, joyful elements in my work celebrate the light-hearted comic creation. Conversely, the darker tones delve into themes of disease and inhumanity. Ultimately, my practice is a visual study of dichotomy—an invitation to find harmony in opposition and to recognize that the joyful and the dark are simply different expressions of the same living current.
